Project Coordinator

UPVLC is an academic institution. The research group involved in this project is specialized in the development of immunoreagents, surface functionalization and the development of biosensors and nanobiosensors, being a major European reference on compact disc technology analytical approaches. Their main contributions to the project are: the synthesis of structural determinants for target drugs/analogs; surface modification and probe immobilization strategies; the full integration of devices; and the evaluation of multiplexed allergen tests.

Main Tasks

• UPVLC will be in charge of Project Coordination (WP7). • The technical participation of UPVLC research group will be mainly focused on the activities defined on the WP1, WP2, WP3 and WP4 (WP4 Leader). UPVLC will collaborate in WP1 in the design and testing the disc drive detector and in WP2 mainly in the definition of disc specifications and laser texturing. • Additionally, the main tasks of WP3 and WP4 include the synthesis of drug structural determinants, chemical modification of the biosensing surface, attachment of probes on disc surface, development of the analytical methodology based on compact disc technology-molecular recognition, and the integration process. Also, the group will be responsible of designing and developing the experimental analysis protocols, checking the performances of the final device and testing the disc/drive prototype with blood samples. • UPVLC will also participate in the Exploitation and Dissemination activities (WP6).
